AT&T hired Jim as a sub-contractor to look at wireless interference between our Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs) and the new AT&T macro cell phone site installed at SLAC. Jim determined the cause to be the 7th harmonic of the main beam line drive signal leaking out through the BDA and seen by the AT&T cell site equipment. He then recommended a cost effective solution (filter) that successfully removed the problem while not impacting SLAC's operation. I was impressed with his expertise, calmness, ability to explain the measurements and communicate with the engineers at SLAC and myself and come up with a practical solution.
